One of New York City’s landmarks, located at JFK International Airport, restored and re-opens in 2019.

Designed in 1962 the iconic building designed by legendary architect Eero Saarinen, has been restored to its former glory, operating as the center piece of the new 512 room hotel.

Fabbrica LLC designed, manufactured, and installed the facade of the two 11 story buildings that serve as the guestrooms / suites for this world-class hotel; a challenging feat that binds the preservation of a historical architectural masterpiece to the engineering of modern day glass curtain wall construction.

The glass envelope, being 12 cm thick, one of the thickest in the world, is engineered to pass the strict tests and acoustic standards of an airport environment. It is designed to sustain the vibrations of an airport terminal, at the same time guaranteeing guests the insonorisation comfort of the room to not let outside noise in.
